The GPS portlet shows a binary indicator of fix or no fix for the GPS.
The GPS portlet shows number of satellites the WCU has connection to. Depending on how large the time interval is the resolution will be changed to one of the following, seconds, minutes, or hours.  If the resolution is minutes or hours, it will show the smallest value for that minute or hour. If number of data point is still too much in the time interval an error messages will show and change to the largest possible to date. When zooming by dragging or shrinking the window the resolution will dynamic change to the highest resolution as possible.

From version 2.47 of the WICE portal it's possible to monitor various WCU status metrics.

WCU Status Tab

The WCU status tab is located in the Administration tab (The Portal Administrator View) and looks like Figure "WCU Status Tab". The left panel is for searching out WCUs to monitor and the right panel controls which WCU status types to show for the currently selected WCU.

The different WCU status types are described below. Each type is shown in a portlet window and two or more types can be shown in the same portlet by dropping one portlet on top of another.

Uptime

The uptime portlet is the old WCU Uptime window. Here you can track when and how long time the WCU has been up and running.

GPS

The GPS portlet shows number of satellites the WCU has connection to. Depending on how large the time interval is the resolution will be changed to one of the following, seconds, minutes, or hours.  If the resolution is minutes or hours, it will show the smallest value for that minute or hour. If number of data point is still too much in the time interval an error messages will show and change to the largest possible to date. When zooming by dragging or shrinking the window the resolution will dynamic change to the highest resolution as possible.

CSQ

The CSQ portlet (Cell Signal Quality) indicates the signal strength of the mobile modem. The values are between 0 – 31, the higher the value the better. The special value of 99 is designated an unknown or not even detectable signal.

Data storage

The data storage portlet informs how much collected data resides in the WCU for each type of data collector (module). Total data indicates how much of the total amount of data storage available is use

Connectivity

The Connectivity portlet shows what data rates are currently available to the vehicle. Possible values are 4G, 3G, 2G and None.

Data collection status

When modules collect data they go through a set of states when triggers starts, stops and other events occur. Currently, only such events for the signal reader module is available.
