New Permissions for managing and creating Resource Groups
There are now two permission types for Resource Groups, one for managing groups and one for creating groups.
A role may also now be set to be specific to just one user. Doing this will remove the role from any other users that currently have it as well as prevent adding the role to any other users but the specified user.
The Resource Group Manage permission covers:
- Access to the Resource Groups panel under Administration
- Editing resource groups and their labels in the Resource Groups panel
- Removing resource groups
- Adding WCUs to resource groups
- Removing WCUs from resource groups
The Resource Group Create permission covers:
- Access to the Resource Groups panel under Administration
- Creating resource groups
Creating a resource group does not require any additional permissions, as any necessary permissions will be added to a role specific to the creator. If a "user specific" role does not exist it will be created and added to the user.
Read more about managing resource groups here. To read more about permissions see Creating and editing roles and permissions.
